Lotte Chemical Pakistan Limited announced on Wednesday the reappointment of its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. The company notified the Pakistan Stock Exchange that Imtiaz Ahmed will continue as Chairman of the Board, while Adnan Afridi will remain Chief Executive, with both appointments effective from 23 June 2026.
Dr. Ahmed began his career as an Assistant Professor at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, where he taught for four years before earning a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Mississippi in 1990. He brings over 28 years of leadership experience in the petrochemical sector.
Mr. Afridi possesses more than 30 years of international expertise in change management, business transformation, innovation, and profitability enhancement across blue-chip companies, the public sector, and high-growth environments.
Lotte Chemical Pakistan Limited manufactures and sells Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) at its state-of-the-art facility at Port Qasim, Karachi, which has an annual production capacity of 500,000 tonnes. The plant serves as a key supplier to the domestic polyester and PET industries, operating under a technology license from Invista Performance Technologies (IPT) with feedstock sourced from reputable international suppliers. The company contributes significantly to downstream industrial development and foreign exchange savings for the country.
