Lucy Dacus Shares Stage With Brandon Flowers, Hayley Williams, and Friends at Newport Folk Festival

Lucy Dacus has recently been collaborating widely, contributing to tracks with her boygenius bandmate Phoebe Bridgers, Smidley, Madi Diaz, and others. At last night’s Newport Folk Festival performance, she was joined onstage by several notable guests.

She kicked off the guest appearances by inviting Hayley Williams to perform the Forever Is A Feeling track “Bullseye.” Later, Williams returned the favor, featuring Dacus in her own set. Dacus also teamed up with Madi Diaz for a rendition of Diaz’s “Heavy Metal,” which will appear on Diaz’s forthcoming UN‑unplugged version of Fatal Optimist. To close the surprise collaborations, Brandon Flowers joined Dacus for a heartfelt cover of Jim Croce’s 1972 classic “Time In a Bottle.” Watch footage below.
