Madonna’s latest album, Confessions II, was released on July 3, following the release of three singles, including a promotional track. This latest era launched with the mid-April release of “I Feel So Free,” followed shortly by the collaboration “Bring Your Love” with Sabrina Carpenter.
A month prior to the album’s debut, “Love Sensation” was released as a promotional single and saw significant success on dance charts globally. To further maximize the song’s impact, a new collaborative version featuring pop superstar Kylie Minogue was released.
As two of the most influential figures in British pop history, the duo’s collaboration has naturally resulted in a new number one hit.
Madonna and Kylie Minogue Debut at No. 1
“Love Sensation” has debuted at No. 1 on the Official Physical Singles chart this week, returning both artists to the top of the sales rankings. This chart tracks the most successful physical singles in the U.K., including vinyl and CD formats.
Madonna Scores Her Eighth No. 1
“Love Sensation” marks Madonna’s eighth number one on the Official Physical Singles chart. Her last ascent to the top of this specific chart was with “Celebration” in September 2009. Since then, several of her tracks, including “Give Me All Your Luvin’” (with Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.), “Girl Gone Wild,” “Living for Love,” “Ghosttown,” and “Erotica,” all peaked at number two.

Kylie Minogue Has Charted 19 No. 1 Hits
Minogue has shown remarkable consistency on the Official Physical Singles tally. “Love Sensation” represents her 50th appearance on the chart. Out of those 50 entries, 41 have reached the top 10, with 19 achieving the number one spot.
Minogue has maintained consistent chart momentum, securing two number ones in 2025 with “Last Night I Dreamt I Fell in Love” (with Alok) and “Xmas,” following a successful 2024.

Madonna holds a higher volume of total appearances on the Official Physical Singles chart with 57 entries, including 38 top 10 hits.
Madonna and Kylie Minogue Rule Another Two Sales Charts
In addition to the physical chart, “Love Sensation” has returned to No. 1 on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts, marking five weeks at the top of both formats.
Madonna Scores Her Sixty-Fifth U.K. Top 10
“Love Sensation” also debuted at No. 8 on the Official Singles chart, the primary ranking for music consumption in the U.K. While the original version did not enter the charts, the addition of Minogue has driven significant public interest. This success brings Minogue to 37 top 10 hits and provides Madonna with her 65th top 10 single, cementing her status as one of the most successful artists in U.K. history.
