Malakai Black is slated to return to the ring to face a familiar challenger following his release from WWE earlier this year.

The former Aleister Black has been booked for PROGRESS Wrestling’s Odyssey Tour. His appearances in Edinburgh, Leeds, and Manchester in September mark the first time he has competed in a live match since April 2026.

On September 4, at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange, Black will face former WWE star Dominik Dijakovic. This encounter will be the first time the two have competed against each other in Europe.

Dijak, who joined WWE in 2017 under various ring names—including Dijak, T‑BAR, and Dominik Dijakovic—was released by the company in June 2024 when his contract was not renewed.

PROGRESS Wrestling has billed the bout as a clash between two of the industry’s most recognized talents, emphasizing Dijak’s imposing stature and Black’s background in martial arts.

Following his WWE departure, Black had initial discussions with Major League Wrestling, though those talks did not advance. He remains a free agent outside of his scheduled PROGRESS dates.
