Manchester City Complete Allan Elias Deal, Securing Sixth Summer Acquisition from Palmeiras

Manchester City have officially confirmed the signing of Allan Elias, a 22-year-old Brazilian winger from Palmeiras, on a five-year contract. The transfer marks the Premier League club’s sixth acquisition of the current summer window.

Speaking to the press on Monday, City’s Director of Football Hugo Viana expressed enthusiasm about the new arrival. “Allan is a really exciting player, and we think he will be a big addition to the squad. He has shown throughout his short career so far that he will fight to be the best he can be.”

Reports from British media suggest City have agreed to a fee of approximately $47 million for the attacker. A product of Palmeiras’ academy system, Elias made 96 first-team appearances for the São Paulo club before making the move to England.

The winger joins a host of fresh faces at the Etihad this summer, including Elliot Anderson, Geronimo Rulli, Ayyoub Bouaddi, Jeremy Monga, and Pierce Charles.

Gabriel Jesus, Ederson, and Fernandinho all lifted the Premier League trophy during their respective tenures with the club, setting a high standard for the incoming winger.
