Man City enter race to sign £80m Arsenal target

Man City on course to sign Ndiaye

Manchester City have entered the race to sign Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye before next week’s transfer deadline, positioning themselves as frontrunners for the £80 million-rated attacker.

The reigning champions recently offloaded Savio and Omar Marmoush to Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur, with the latter departing on a loan deal that includes a mandatory purchase clause. While City have secured Palmeiras forward Allan as cover, they remain intent on adding another wide option before the window closes.

Ndiaye has emerged as a genuine target, and City are prepared to discuss a part-exchange arrangement that would see Jack Grealish move to Goodison Park as a makeweight. The England international is reportedly keen to return to Everton following his loan spell there last season, potentially giving City a significant advantage in negotiations.

Arsenal are also known admirers of the versatile 26-year-old but have yet to table a formal bid, with their immediate priority centred on offloading Gabriel Martinelli. Should the Gunners fail to accelerate their interest, they risk missing out on Ndiaye entirely this summer.
