Morens Morris addressed Shane Gillis’ biting satirical take during Saturday Night Live, delivering a sharp counter-response through an Instagram post that included a graphic gesture.
During the sketch, Gillis lamented the transformation of women’s gymwear, asserting that neon-shorts and exaggerated cosmetology signified a shift toward sexual objectification. He joked that audiences should avoid close inspection of these outfits due to their high visibility on live broadcast.
In her retort, Morris posted an Instagram video captioned “me being a wh0re at the gym” paired with her track “Be a Bitch.” The song’s refrain echoed her message, concluding with her famously flashing the middle finger to the camera. The post served to assert personal agency amid Gillis’ claims.
Several public figures joined the debate online, with several describing Gillis as a misogynist. Former SNL star Ego Nwodim posted a gym selfie labeled “whore reporting for duty,” while Dan Levy noted that he had witnessed far more visible male anatomy at the fitness center than female displays, suggesting a commentary on gender dynamics.

“Women wearing short shorts to the gym does not make them whores; it makes the men who label them as such misogynists,” Levy explained. Adding that he had observed more male nudity in locker rooms compared to active women, reinforcing the observation about inappropriate conduct.
Although Gillis was reinstated after previous controversies involving racist and homophobic remarks from 2019, his return sparked immediate backlash following the *SNL* segment. The sketch featured a Dr. Seuss-inspired segment where Gillis admitted fault immediately after the mockery concluded.
