DAZN’s boxing documentary series “Inside the Ring” is receiving a new host for its upcoming season.

The streaming platform announced on Tuesday that Mario Lopez, known for his roles in “Saved By the Bell” and “Extra,” will assume hosting duties for the second season of “Inside the Ring.”

Existing host Max Kellerman and analyst LeSean McCoy will not return, as the show undergoes a talent reshuffle, according to Front Office Sports.

Boxing insider Mike Coppinger revealed on Monday that he will rejoin the program, which will air twice weekly on DAZN Boxing and Ring Magazine’s YouTube channels. Meanwhile, Total Boxing reported that DAZN has reached an agreement to acquire a controlling stake in Ring Magazine from Turki Alalshikh.

Coppinger will be joined by a rotating panel of analysts, and the second season of “Inside the Ring” is slated to debut this Thursday.

Lopez, who trained for several years at Freddie Roach’s Wild Card Boxing Club near Los Angeles—often showcasing his workouts on social media—has also co‑hosted the “The 3 Knockdown Rule” podcast with Ring Magazine’s Steve Kim and served as a guest color commentator for various boxing contests.

Lopez hosted “Extra” from 2007 to 2019 and portrayed A.C. Slater in the “Saved By the Bell” reboot that aired in 2020.

Kellerman will continue commentating Zuffa Boxing events, a partnership involving the Saudi Public Investment Fund and TKO. He succeeded Skip Bayless as a co‑host of “First Take” in 2016 but was let go by ESPN in 2023.

His first post‑ESPN broadcast appearance came in September 2025, when he commentated the Canelo Álvarez vs. Terence Crawford bout on Netflix.
