Charli XCX and Martin Scorsese are once again bringing their creative worlds together, this time for a horror film directed by the acclaimed filmmaker.

Based on the gothic novel by Peter Cameron, What Happens at Night follows a married American couple who are dropped into a remote European town. Hoping to adopt a baby, the couple confronts a cast of peculiar hotel guests as they grapple with the adoption and, understandably, their own unease.

According to Variety, sources say that Charli will cameo in the Scorsese-helmed movie alongside box-office stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence. While not much else is known about the film, the outlet stated that the cast also includes Mads Mikkelsen, Patricia Clarkson, and Jared Harris.

Representatives for Charli, Scorsese, Apple, and StudioCanal did not immediately respond to Rolling Stone’s requests for comment.

Charli previously worked with Scorsese for the cover of her Music, Fashion, Film album released in July. The black-and-white image featured three icons from each category, sitting together in a kitchen: John Cale for music, Marc Jacobs for fashion, and Martin Scorsese for film. “She said she had an idea to run by me,” Cale told Rolling Stone in an exclusive interview. “There was talk of a video, an ode to an imprint of time and place. Next thing, I was on a flight. Ended up in a random kitchen.”

Charli recently starred in Pete Oh’s Erupjca and the Brat mockumentary The Moment. She’s also appeared in Julia Jackman’s 100 Nights of Hero, the Gregg Araki-directed I Want Your Sex, Cathy Yan’s The Gallerist, and a yet-untitled Takashi Miike movie.

Charli is nearing the conclusion of her U.S. tour in support of the album. The artist will wrap the North American leg of her trek on Friday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
