A new adult incarnation of T’Challa is set to debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. At Marvel’s Hall H Comic-Con presentation, Kevin Feige unveiled updates on *Black Panther 3*, with director Ryan Coogler, Winston Duke, and Letitia Wright welcoming actor David Jonsson to the franchise as T’Challa’s son.
Jonsson, known for roles in *Alien: Romulus* and *The Long Walk*, will reprise the character who first appeared as a child in *Black Panther: Wakanda Forever*. Feige confirmed the film’s theatrical release date of December 15, 2028, but no official title has been announced yet.
Coogler, who directed the first two films in the series, has begun production. The movie will age up T’Challa Jr., deepening the legacy connection introduced in the franchise’s second installment. Rumors suggest a crossover with the X-Men universe, as Storm—a character with historical ties to Wakanda—is speculated to appear. This aligns with Marvel’s plans to integrate mutants into the MCU, bolstered by the popularity of the animated *X-Men ‘97* series.
Brother Voodoo, a sorcerer-superhero linked to the spirit world, is also rumored to join the cast. Additionally, Tenoch Huerta’s Namor, introduced in *Black Panther: Wakanda Forever*, is expected to return in *Avengers: Doomsday* alongside Shuri, portrayed by Letitia Wright.
