Matt Hardy has offered his perspective on speculation regarding former Wyatt Sicks members potentially joining TNA.
Following WWE’s release of the Wyatt Sicks earlier this year, the group’s former members have been exploring new opportunities. Recent reports have indicated that Joseph Sawyer (Joe Gacy) and Sam Shaw (formerly Dexter Lumis) may be considering a move to TNA.

Hardy discussed these rumors during his podcast, The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, while clarifying he has no insider information about their potential TNA status.
“I think they’re all very talented individuals. Beyond their elaborate personas, I believe they excel as in-ring performers. There would likely be a place for them. Again, that’s beyond my direct involvement—I don’t have specific details on their current status,” Hardy explained.
Hardy suggested moving away from completely abandoning their established characters, proposing instead a blend of their wrestling personas with more authentic aspects of their real identities. The enduring connection to Bray Wyatt makes it challenging for these performers to fully disentangle themselves from their Wyatt Sicks legacy while building new careers post-WWE.
“I envision a hybrid approach—merging the real person with a refined version of their Wyatt Sicks persona,” Hardy stated. “Not as intense as the full Wyatt Sicks supernatural concept, but incorporating elements of their past while evolving naturally. Anyone watching them in indie promotions will inevitably recall their Wyatt Sicks history—they’ll always be associated with that chapter,” he added.
Recent TNA iMPACT episodes have featured enigmatic attacks on personalities including Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy. The September 17 episode revealed Matt Hardy as the latest victim, with footage showing unidentified legs fleeing the scene. TNA has not disclosed the attackers’ identities, fueling speculation about a potential connection to the former Wyatt Sicks members.
