Matty Healy Marries Gabbriette Bechtel in Lavish Ceremony at Madonna’s Former Estate

Matty Healy and Gabbriette Bechtel were married in Los Angeles this weekend.

The frontman of The 1975 and former Nasty Cherry musician and model Gabbriette Bechtel were married on Saturday, July 18, in a ceremony at Castillo del Lago, Madonna’s former estate in Los Angeles, according to Just Jared.

Video footage posted on social media captured the newlyweds kissing at the altar and posing for photographs at the Spanish Colonial Revival mansion in the Hollywood Hills. Attendees included Charli XCX, her husband George Daniel (also a member of The 1975), as well as Anastasia Karanikolaou, Fai Khadra, Alex Consani, Devon Lee Carlson and her fiancé Duke Nicholson, Sydney Lynn Carlson, Tyrell Hampton, Alex O’Connor, and Quenlin Blackwell.

Before the wedding, Healy performed at a stag party in Malibu with a tribute band to The 1975, during which he sang along to “The Sound” and invited his look‑alike to join him on stage.

Healy and Bechtel announced their engagement at a Charli XCX concert in 2024. His mother, Denise Welch, said she had known about the engagement for several weeks and expressed happiness, stating that Bechtel “is everything I would want in a daughter‑in‑law.”

The 1975 have informed fans that two albums are currently in development, one of which is tentatively titled ‘DOGS’, a name the band revealed during their Glastonbury headline performance last year.

He confirmed that ‘DOGS’ is the album title and added, “We have made two; it may be one, it may be two… but we have produced two albums.”

Manager Jamie Oborne previously described the upcoming record as “pretty extraordinary,” noting that its release timeline is uncertain, but that the band is currently working on it.

He added that the record is already extraordinary and that ongoing discussions with the band ensure it will meet the high expectations of listeners, emphasizing that they deserve time to perfect the work.

The band’s previous album, ‘Being Funny In A Foreign Language’, was released in 2022. NME awarded it four stars and praised the group as “back to their very best.”

‘Being Funny In A Foreign Language’ represents a logical progression after the band’s earlier experimental excesses and contains a concise set of eleven tracks.

‘The 1975: At Their Very Best’ – the title they have given to their upcoming tour – sounds confident, though it reflects an accurate assessment of their current standing.

Additionally, Tiny Habits collaborated with Matty Healy on the single ‘Anything He Was’ and announced a new album titled ‘Keepers’.
