Paul Keuker, 51, died from multiple blunt impact injuries after accidentally falling during Goose’s concert at Madison Square Garden on June 20, according to medical examiner findings reported by ABC7. Keuker was transported to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Goose expressed profound sorrow following the incident, stating, “We are deeply saddened and heartbroken to learn of the tragic event that occurred at tonight’s show. We extend our deepest sympathy to everyone affected.” The band also thanked emergency personnel and venue staff for their swift response and care.
A MSG Entertainment spokesperson told Rolling Stone, “While we await the police report on the tragedy at last night’s Goose concert, we are deeply saddened by the loss of a fan’s life at Madison Square Garden. Our hearts go out to the family and friends of the concertgoer.”
The concert proceeded uninterrupted, with Goose completing their full set and encore, which was streamed live on Amazon Music. Police taped off approximately seven rows in the lower section where the incident occurred, and affected attendees were re-seated elsewhere in the arena.
Looking ahead, Goose will launch their 2026 headlining tour in support of their sixth studio album, Big Modern!. The tour begins on November 3 at The Midland Theatre in Kansas City, Missouri, and concludes on November 21 at Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York, with additional stops in cities including Nashville, Uncasville, Connecticut, and Pittsburgh.
