The singer was forced to abruptly conclude her performance in Denver on Tuesday night due to an undisclosed illness.
While performing at Ball Arena, the singer-songwriter had to end the concert after only three songs. “That was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make & I’m so sorry to cancel the show tonight,” Moroney shared via Instagram Stories. “I never ever will give you guys a show that is not 100% and by song 3 I knew that I was not capable of giving that to you guys tonight. I’m typing this as I’m quite literally bawling my eyes out in my dressing room & it hurts me so much to disappoint you all.”
The artist assured her fans that she will return to Denver on Aug. 27. All tickets purchased for Tuesday’s performance will be valid for the rescheduled date, though those unable to attend the new date will be eligible for a refund.
“I’ve never had to do this & I’m truly so sorry. I love u guys,” Moroney added.
The venue confirmed the premature end of the event, stating, “Megan is unable to continue her performance this evening due to illness, and we must end the show at this time.” Attendees were instructed by staff to follow exit directions, and the venue noted that further updates would be posted at ballarena.com.
Moroney is currently on her *The Cloud 9* Tour, supporting her successful third studio album of the same name. “Similar to the first two albums, it’s all written about honest, personal experiences, but these songs were written by the strongest, most confident version of myself I’ve ever been,” Moroney previously remarked regarding the new record. “My feet feel firmly planted in my artistry, and it was fun to play around sonically, while still sticking to my roots of what my fans and I love.”
