Miami Heat have acknowledged a YouTube video teasing LeBron James’ potential return to the franchise was uploaded in error. The clip, titled “LeBron James Introductory Press Conference,” was briefly posted to the team’s official channel before being removed.
A team spokesperson confirmed the mistake occurred while preparing for James’ possible comeback with the Heat, the franchise where he won two NBA championships. The incident has intensified speculation about the 41-year-old’s future, as the basketball community awaits his decision on where he will play his 24th NBA season.
Since announcing his departure from the Los Angeles Lakers in June after eight seasons, James has been linked to multiple teams, including the Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers. Rich Paul, James’ longtime friend and agent, emphasized that no rushed decisions will be made regarding his client’s next move.
“We’re not going to be rushed. It’s his choice to make and, when he makes the choice, he’ll make it,” Paul stated on the Game Over with Max Kellerman and Rich Paul podcast.
