The Red Devils are winless in their last eight matches across all competitions, with Carrick under pressure to revive the team’s form.
Ahead of Saturday’s west London encounter, Carrick is widely expected to reinstate Bruno Fernandes into the XI, having dropped him to the bench for the 3-0 league defeat to Bournemouth at Old Trafford last weekend.
Alongside Fernandes, Matheus Cunha also looks poised to return on the left wing ahead of Mason Mount. Cunha has scored five goals in his last five meetings against the Blues. This includes a hat-trick for Wolves.
After a disappointing showing against Bournemouth, Carrick expects the team to turn things around at Stamford Bridge, where United secured a win last season following a first-half goal from Cunha.
