Michael Elgin, a former Ring of Honor World Champion, has expressed concerns that his wrestling career is being systematically removed from public view.
Using his Facebook platform, Elgin—born Aaron Frobel—argued that his legacy is being diminished because his in-ring performances are no longer being circulated online.
The trajectory of Elgin’s career shifted dramatically in 2020 when sexual assault allegations emerged as part of the broader “Speaking Out” movement within professional wrestling.
Following these developments, Elgin received a suspension from Impact Wrestling on June 22, with his contract terminated by the organization four days later.
On July 2, Elgin publicly refuted the allegations through a video statement. He continued to compete in wrestling for four additional years before officially announcing his retirement in November 2024.
