Achraf Hakimi, the Morocco captain and Paris Saint-Germain defender, will stand trial in France on rape charges, a Paris appeals court has ruled.
Hakimi was first accused by a then 24-year-old woman in 2023. In February, an investigative judge referred the case to trial after prosecutors recommended proceedings. Hakimi appealed the decision, but the Paris appeals court has now rejected the challenge, clearing the way for the case to be heard in criminal court.
