Australian financial marketing experts will explore strategies for navigating the booming “finfluencer” landscape at the Mumbrella Finance Marketing Summit, scheduled for 12 August at the State Library of NSW. The event will feature a dedicated panel on the creator economy’s impact on financial services marketing.
Panelists include Ally Selby, editorial lead at Equity Mates; Tom Piotrowski, head of market insights at Nabtrade, National Australia Bank; Stephanie Duncan, head of regional marketing at Cboe Global Markets; and Jyoti Minhas, associate director at BlueChip Communications. The discussion will focus on authentic audience engagement, building trust, and creating effective creator-driven strategies that align with business objectives.
Two additional roundtable sessions have been confirmed to complete the program. Nathan Birch, founder of Strategic Brand Partners, will lead a session titled The Portfolio Problem: What Is Your Brand Architecture Actually Costing You?. This interactive discussion will address the financial implications of complex brand portfolios, including duplication, market cannibalization, and erosion of brand equity.

The second roundtable, Are Marketing Budgets at Risk From Decarbonisation or Could Advertising Be Part of the Solution?will be moderated by Arum Nixon, Australia lead at Ad Net Zero. This session will examine how climate change and sustainability mandates are influencing financial marketing strategies, including the role of advertising in reducing supply-chain emissions while maintaining campaign effectiveness.

The summit will also feature insights from AMP deputy chief economist Diana Mousina, ANZ head of marketing Ben Skelsey, Allianz Australia’s Laura Halbert, Emma Grainge from Australian Ethical Investment, and Chris Howatson of Howatson and Company.
