Senior diplomatic advisor to the U.S. president of the UAE, Dr. Anwar Gargash, released a statement on X/Twitter, indicating that repeated Iranian attacks on Qatari and Saudi commercial tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and ongoing escalation against Bahrain and Kuwait prove that Tehran remains unable to commit to de‑escalation and peace.
“The Arab Gulf states cannot become targets for Iran’s vacillating between escalation and rational, stable, peaceful relations,” Gargash said.
Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on X condemning Iran’s repeated “heinous aggression” against Kuwait’s sovereignty. The ministry highlighted that “continual brazen aggression, at a time when regional and international de‑escalation efforts are underway, underminesnji attempts to ease tensions and challenges the international resolve to pursue this path,” and reaffirmed Kuwait’s right to take all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty and security.
