A new platform designed as a digital hub for live music enthusiasts has emerged, offering the ability to rate DJ sets, festivals, and live performances with a star-based system.
Named Seen Live, the application functions as a personal archive for documenting attended club nights, concerts, and similar events. Users can search past and upcoming shows, assign five-star ratings, share experiences, upload photos and videos, and maintain a timeline of their live entertainment activities.
The app also integrates social discovery tools, enabling users to follow friends, explore trending performances, and uncover new artists, DJs, and venues through community reviews. Its creator, Jordan Taylor, founder of the club culture platform Tough Luck, developed Seen Live after realizing he struggled to recall performers he’d seen live. “I wanted a centralized space to organize memories and context for every show I attended,” Taylor explained in an interview with Mixmag. “The goal is to let users share their nightlife experiences in a way that sparks connections and helps others discover music they’ll love.”
Seen Live is available on Apple’s App Store for iPhone and iPad, though an Android version remains unannounced.
The app draws inspiration from Letterboxd, a social platform for film lovers to log, rate, and review movies. It also parallels Spotify’s recent addition of venue-following features, which curates Live Events feeds for over 20,000 global venues.
