The NFL is considering expanding its international schedule to 10 games in 2027, following a record nine-game slate this season. The league has approval to stage as many as 10 games next year, and NFL executive Peter O’Reilly said discussions about the additional game are ongoing.
“We like continuity, but we are looking at new regions, and Asia would be one of them,” O’Reilly said.
The 2026 schedule includes games in Australia, Brazil, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Germany and Mexico.
O’Reilly has also discussed the possibility of the NFL playing in Japan and Italy.
The Saints and Steelers are set to stage the first NFL game in France this Sunday.
