The NFL’s Sunday late-afternoon programming continues to attract enormous television audiences.
For Week 7, the Packers-Lions game on Fox delivered an impressive average of 24.67 million viewers.
While slightly behind the 26.3 million viewers who tuned in for Sunday night’s Chiefs-Seahawks matchup, this figure still represents substantial viewership for the late window slot.
The bi-weekly Fox broadcast at 4:25 p.m. ET is currently averaging 24.749 million viewers through the first seven weeks of the 2026 NFL season.
This week’s late-afternoon coverage shifts to CBS, featuring a highly anticipated rematch between the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos, originally played in Week 1. With the Chiefs sitting at 5-1 and the Broncos at 5-2, this contest is expected to draw significant viewership.
The early window also promises strong ratings, showcasing several compelling matchups including the 5-2 Cleveland Browns at the 5-2 Pittsburgh Steelers, the 4-3 Baltimore Ravens at the 5-1 Buffalo Bills, and the undefeated 6-0 Minnesota Vikings against the 4-2 Detroit Lions.
