Nicolas Jackson Completes £65 Million Permanent Transfer to Aston Villa
The Senegal international has finalized a permanent transfer to Aston Villa for a reported £65 million. After falling out of favor under Enzo Maresca at Chelsea, Jackson was loaned to Bayern Munich last season. The 25-year-old thrived on loan, scoring 10 goals, which initially raised hopes of reviving his Stamford Bridge career. Instead, the former Villarreal star has opted to join the Villans, reuniting with manager Unai Emery. Emery, who previously worked with Jackson at Villarreal, played a significant role in facilitating the deal. Registered before today’s noon deadline, Jackson is eligible to face Arsenal on Monday night. Villa, who suffered a dismal 4-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion at the start of the season, will look to him to lead the line and spark a turnaround.
