Mario Kart Tour will cease operations on September 30 at 2 AM ET, with no offline version planned. Nintendo also announced an end to the game’s digital currency sales, auto-renewals for the Gold Pass subscription, and new content updates, which had stopped since late 2023.

Players with active Gold Pass subscriptions will retain access to most Gold Pass benefits until shutdown, while others can access these features for free starting August 5 at 2 AM ET. The decision marks the end of continuous support for the seven-year-old mobile title.

While Mario Kart Tour exits, Nintendo continues its mobile gaming presence with recent releases like Pictonico! and sustained titles such as Super Mario Run, Fire Emblem Heroes, and Pikmin Bloom. The company has shifted focus but maintains a portfolio of active mobile games.
