The New Japan Pro‑Wrestling (NJPW) organization has unveiled the recipients of three fan‑voted accolades awarded at this year’s G1 Climax tournament.
Ahead of the final match held at Ryogoku Sumo Hall on Sunday, President Hiroshi Tanahashi announced the winners of the Outstanding Achievement, Fighting Spirit and Technique Awards.
Oleg Boltin secured the Outstanding Achievement Award, awarded to the competitor who best demonstrated full potential and skill, garnering 40.09% of the vote. Ryohei Oiwa placed second with 21.46%, followed by Drilla Moloney at 8.50%.
The Fighting Spirit Award, given to a wrestler who exemplifies an unyielding attitude against insurmountable語, was beat by Yuto‑Ice with 36.93% of the vote. Boltin followed with 12.75%, and Oiwa received 10.13%.
The Technique Award, recognizing creative offensive flair, was claimed by Oiwa with 30.17% of the vote. Ren Narita earned 10.57% and Zack Sabre Jr. 9.15%.
In the tournament finale, Oiwa defeated Yuya Uemura via submission with his signature Big Lock hold, cementing his third title on the podium.
