[Nathan Noel Joins Norfolk Admirals for 2026-27 Season]
Norfolk, VA — The Norfolk Admirals have signed forward Nathan Noel to a new-season contract starting in 2026-27.
The returning senior completes his first full campaign with the Admirals after being claimed off waivers on December 15 of the previous season from the Iowa Heartlanders. This eight‑year veteran has amassed more than 300 career games—all earned under the ECHL and American Hockey League banners—and posted a personal best in 2025‑26 with 63 starts, including 10 points (2 goals, 8 assists) and 114 penalty minutes.
Noel honed his skill set during his junior years with the Saint John Sea Dogs in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League from 2013 to 2017, notably winning a Memorial Cup in his final season there. He was selected in the fourth round (113th overall) by the Chicago Blackhawks during the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
The Newfoundland native spent three seasons between the Indy Fuel and AHL’s Rockford IceHogs across two campaigns, appearing in 71 contests with Rockford. He later turned out for the South Carolina Stingrays, Newfoundland Growlers and Maine Mariners from 2019 through 2024. Most recently, he signed with the Heartlanders before joining Norfolk and eventually the Admirals.
