Olivia Rodrigo launched her Unraveled Tour this weekend, marking the occasion with back-to-back performances at Hartford, Connecticut’s PeoplesBank Arena. Supported by opening act Wolf Alice, Rodrigo navigated the tragic romance narrative at the core of her acclaimed third album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So In Love, while also weaving in earlier hits and deep cuts.
The concert commenced with “Drop Dead,” the opening track and lead single from You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So In Love, which Rodrigo performed while reclining amid a sprawling stage arrangement of pink flowers. While adjusting the album’s track order, she largely preserved its thematic arc from youthful infatuation to heartbreaking separation. She also debuted “Serena Joy,” a recent single inspired by The Handmaid’s Tale, which had originally premiered at her inaugural Daisy Chain Fields festival the previous month.
Additionally, the setlist featured several songs from her previous albums, Sour and Guts, such as the breakout hit “Driver’s License,” alongside fan favorites like “Traitor,” “Vampire,” “Good 4 U,” “Favorite Crime,” and “Bad Idea Right?” The first night concluded with a three-song encore comprising “Deja Vu,” “All-American Bitch,” and “Expectations.”
Looking ahead, Rodrigo will continue the North American leg of her tour over the coming months, with upcoming shows in Pittsburgh, Chicago, Boston, Montreal, Toronto, and additional cities. She also has three ten-night residencies scheduled for next year, taking place at Los Angeles’ Intuit Dome, New York’s Barclays Center, and London’s O2 Arena.
