Ondo Finance, a specialist in tokenized assets, is reportedly evaluating a potential acquisition valued between $250 million and $500 million, according to an individual familiar with the matter.
The New York-headquartered firm is reportedly contemplating wealthtech targets alongside other subsectors, said the individual, who requested anonymity to discuss private matters.
The individual noted that Ondo has not yet engaged any formal advisors.
Established in 2021 by former Goldman Sachs executives, Ondo Finance provides a tokenization platform that brings traditional financial assets on-chain. The company issues tokenized U.S. Treasuries and equities, making it one of the largest providers of tokenized real-world assets with over $2.5 billion across its product suite.
“As a rapidly expanding company, Ondo routinely assesses the market as a standard part of its business operations. We are currently not engaged in discussions with any specific party,” an Ondo representative stated in comments emailed to CoinDesk.
Crypto dealmaking has remained robust in 2026, driven by traditional financial institutions and larger digital-asset firms utilizing acquisitions to acquire licenses, technology, and distribution channels.
