The Israeli military announced on Thursday that one of its soldiers was killed and three others were injured in southern Lebanon, as Tel Aviv continues to launch strikes on Lebanese towns despite a framework agreement with Beirut, Anadolu reports.
The army said in a statement that the injured were transported to a hospital for treatment.
Since March 2, Israel has sustained attacks on Lebanon, resulting in more than 4,380 deaths and over 12,410 injuries, according to Lebanese authorities.
Beirut and Tel Aviv signed a US‑sponsored framework agreement on June 26 in Washington, stipulating a phased Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory and the deployment of the Lebanese army in the areas vacated by Israeli forces.
Despite the agreement, Israel has persisted in launching attacks on southern Lebanon and retains control over several Lebanese territories, some of which have been occupied for decades and others seized during recent conflicts.
