OpTic Texas dominated the Call of Duty League Stage 4 Major, securing a 3-0 victory over G2 Minnesota in Nanterre, France, to claim the upper-bracket final berth.
The Los Angeles Thieves advanced as well, defeating FaZe Vegas 3-2 in their semifinal clash.
In the lower bracket, Paris Gentle Mates remained resilient, overcoming Miami Heretics 3-2 and G2 Minnesota 3-1 in consecutive matches.
FaZe Vegas also advanced in the lower bracket by sweeping Toronto KOI 3-0.
The 12 CDL teams competed in five qualifying matches to determine seeding for the $365,000 prize pool event, with the winner earning $150,000 and 100 CDL points. Matches proceeded as best-of-five until the best-of-seven grand final.
Texas’ 3-0 sweep included decisive wins on Scar Hardpoint (250-186), Gridlock Search and Destroy (6-2), and Den Overload (3-1).
Mason “Mercules” Ramsey of the U.S. led Texas with 75 kills and a +11 kill-death differential, while G2’s Cesar “Skyz” Bueno recorded 64 kills and a -1 K-D differential.
The Thieves started strong with a 250-202 win on Den Hardpoint and a 6-3 victory on Gridlock Search and Destroy. However, FaZe equalized by taking Scar Overload 5-0 and Scar Hardpoint 250-141. Los Angeles clinched the match 6-5 on Den Search and Destroy.
France’s Paco “HyDra” Rusiewiez contributed 98 kills and a -7 K-D differential for the Thieves, while Jovan “04” Rodriguez of Vegas achieved 119 kills and a +28 K-D differential.
Miami trailed Paris 2-1 after a 250-167 Gridlock Hardpoint win and a 4-1 Gridlock Overload victory, but the Gentle Mates secured the series with 250-227 on Scar Hardpoint and 6-0 on Hacienda Search and Destroy.
Joseph “JoeDeceives” Romero of the U.S. dominated for Paris with 103 kills and a +22 K-D differential, while Spain’s David “RenKoR” Isern led the Heretics with 95 kills and a +17 K-D differential.
Vegas dominated Toronto KOI 250-208 on Gridlock Hardpoint, 6-2 on Fringe Search and Destroy, and 8-2 on Scar Overload, led by Zachary “Drazah” Jordan’s 68 kills and +17 K-D differential. Jamie “Insight” Craven and Nicholas “Kips” Lyons each had 55 kills for Toronto.
The Sunday schedule included: the upper-bracket final between Los Angeles Thieves and OpTic Texas, the lower-bracket semifinal between Paris Gentle Mates and FaZe Vegas, the lower-bracket final between the upper- and lower-bracket semifinal winners, and the grand final between the two semifinal champions.
