The OVO Hydro will host professional ice hockey for the first time this December, as Glasgow Clan, Dundee Stars and Fife Flyers bring the Motorpoint Elite League to the country’s largest purpose-built events arena for a special double-header of matches.
The landmark event will see all three of Scotland’s professional ice hockey teams feature at the OVO Hydro, giving fans the opportunity to watch the fast-growing sport at the country’s largest purpose-built events arena.
The games will form part of a two-day festival of ice hockey at the OVO Hydro.
First on Wednesday 30 December, Dundee Stars will take on Fife Flyers at 3pm, before Glasgow Clan face reigning Motorpoint Elite League Champions Belfast Giants at 7.30pm on 30 December.

Tony Smith, Chairman of the Motorpoint Elite League, said: “Playing at the OVO Hydro is huge not just for our three teams in Scotland, but for the whole of the Motorpoint Elite League. Having games at a venue like this helps us continue to grow the profile of the league and put our sport in front of new audiences. It is a fantastic venue, and we are sure the teams will create an occasion that feels bigger than just three games.”
“We hope supporters from across Scotland and beyond will come together and make these two days very memorable.”
