A spokesperson for Dar confirmed active coordination with Somali authorities since the vessel’s hijacking in April, emphasizing urgency in resolving the crisis.
Dar highlighted Pakistan’s deep concern for the hostages’ safety, advocating for immediate action to secure their release and repatriation.
Somali Foreign Minister Abdisaalam Abdi Ali confirmed his government’s active efforts to free the hostages promptly.
The MT Honour 25, seized by Somali piracy on 21 April, continues to hold ten Pakistani sailors near the Somali coast.
