ISLAMABAD: Over 100,000 Pakistanis have enrolled for Hajj 2027 within the first five days of the registration campaign, according to the religious ministry, indicating strong early participation as preparations advance for next year’s pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.
Pakistan completed this year’s Hajj operations in July, with around 179,000 participants. The ongoing registration process represents the initial stage of organizing for Hajj 2027.
Enrollment continued during Muharram holidays, with officials announcing that costs and logistical details for Hajj 2027 will be finalized in the next phase.
The ministry reported that 107,587 individuals completed home-based registrations in the first five days. Specifically, 85,000 applicants opted for the government Hajj scheme, while 22,000 selected private packages.
Registration data shows 51,000 registrants from Punjab, 33,000 from Sindh, 15,000 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 2,000 from Balochistan, 5,500 from Islamabad, 600 from Azad Kashmir, and two from Gilgit-Baltistan.
Approximately 63,000 men and 44,000 women have registered, with most participants aged 25 to 50. Additionally, 56,000 chose the extended Hajj package, and 51,000 selected the shorter version.
The ministry emphasized that a fully paperless, digital platform developed by Pakistan’s National Information Technology Board will manage the entire Hajj operation.
