ISLAMABAD, Oct 1 (APP): The investor base of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) reached 656,218 in September 2026, driven by a record influx of 25,281 new investors during the month.
Advisor to the Finance Minister Khurram Schehzad announced the milestone on social media platform X, noting that September marked the highest-ever monthly addition of new investors in the exchange’s history.
He highlighted that the total investor base has more than doubled since March 2024, with Generation Z comprising the majority of recent entrants.
“The shift is not just in market performance — it is increasingly visible in who is participating in the market,” Schehzad stated.
He described the growing participation as a sign of broader involvement in the country’s capital markets, characterizing the trend as “more investors, broader participation and deeper capital markets.”
