ISLAMABAD – The benchmark KSE 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed on a bearish note on Monday, shedding 2,314.73 points (-1.27%) to finish at 179,927.05, down from 182,241.78 in the previous session.
The ready market saw a trading volume of 845.279 million shares worth Rs35.551 billion, compared to 948.776 million shares valued at Rs38.413 billion the prior day. Market capitalization dropped to Rs20.290 trillion from Rs20.503 trillion.
Of the 497 active companies, 128 gained, 335 declined, and 34 remained unchanged. Cnergyico PK topped the volume list with 158.523 million shares, trailed by F. Nat. Equities (64.234 million) and Blue-Ex Limited (43.874 million).
