Islamabad, July 17 (APP) — The Pakistan Stock Exchange’s benchmark KSE-100 Index fell on Friday, dropping 2,320.78 points, a decline of 1.30%, to close at 175,802.79, down from 178,123.57 the previous day.
In the session, trading volume reached 621.024 million shares, with a transaction value of Rs29.884 billion, compared with 736.956 million shares and Rs34.609 billion in the prior session. Market capitalization fell to Rs19.790 trillion from Rs20.040 trillion the day before.
Of the 497 companies trading actively, 101 rose, 367 fell, and 29 stayed flat.
Cnergyico PK topped the volume leaderboard with 86.492 million shares, followed by TPL Properties (62.545 million) and Pak Refinery (38.580 million).
Among the top gainers, PIA Holding Company Limited rose Rs329.17 to close at Rs18,102.67, while Khyber Textile Mills Limited added Rs138.05, ending at Rs2,199.38.
On the downside, Khairpur Sugar Mills Limited fell Rs207.94 to Rs1,871.47, and Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited dropped Rs151.33 to Rs9,248.79.
The futures (DFC) market saw turnover of 154.248 million shares valued at Rs7.010 billion, compared with 153.002 million shares and Rs7.259 billion in the previous session.
Of the 302 futures‑market companies, 27 advanced, 273 fell, and two remained unchanged.
