According to UBS, Palantir Technologies appears relatively undervalued compared to its artificial intelligence-linked software peers, with shares expected to rebound as its AI-driven services gain momentum. The investment bank has reiterated its buy rating on Palantir and increased its price target by 14% to $250, suggesting a potential 44% upside from recent levels. Following attendance at Palantir’s AIPCon event, analyst Karl Keirstead noted that the company’s position as a leading AI enabler for large enterprises was reinforced, with strong demand evident. Palantir offers AI-integrated platforms for clients including the Department of Defense, facilitating analysis of large datasets. Despite a slight decline of nearly 3% year-to-date due to valuation concerns and a broader sell-off in tech stocks, Palantir has shown impressive growth, with shares rising 135% in 2025, 340% in 2024, and 167% in 2023. Currently trading at 51 times expected free cash flow for 2027, the stock boasts the highest growth and margin profiles in the software sector. UBS highlights its attractiveness relative to competitors like Snowflake and CrowdStrike, attributing the valuation discount to investor worries about a near-term growth peak and potential competition from model providers. However, Palantir’s leadership in AI, data, and modern defense technology warrants a premium multiple. This view aligns with Wall Street consensus, where 23 out of 33 analysts recommend buying or strongly buying the stock, per LSEG data.
