A Palestinian man was killed and five others wounded on Monday during clashes with Israeli forces in the West Bank cities of Hebron and Jenin, Palestinian officials and medical sources said, according to Anadolu reports.
Israeli forces opened fire on a vehicle carrying three Palestinians near Bani Naim, east of Hebron, resulting in one fatality and injuries to the other two occupants.
The Palestinian General Authority of Civil Affairs identified the deceased as 38‑year‑old Hossam Alaa al‑Din Abdul Jabbar Walad Ali and reported that Israeli forces are withholding his body.
The Israeli military stated that the three Palestinians had attempted to carry out a vehicular ramming attack against soldiers in the Bani Naim area.
In a separate incident, three Palestinians were injured when Israeli forces attacked them while they were harvesting olives near Yabad, southwest of Jenin.
The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that its medics treated three individuals injured in an attack by Israeli forces in the Imriha area and transferred them to a hospital.
Local sources told Anadolu that one Palestinian suffered a broken leg, another sustained a left‑hand injury, and an elderly man was beaten and sprayed with pepper spray.
The Palestinian Commission for Colonization and Wall Resistance reports that Israeli forces have carried out more than 14,742 attacks across the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, since October 2023, resulting in the deaths of 66 Palestinians.
The commission added that the assaults have also damaged or destroyed 147,111 trees through breaking, uprooting, burning, and poisoning, of which 100,485 are olive trees.
