A WWE Raw superstar has publicly endorsed a potential Penta world championship reign, arguing that such a title run would be beneficial for the promotion’s business.
Penta currently holds the Men’s Money in the Bank contract after winning the ladder match for the briefcase earlier this month in New Orleans.
Speaking to TMZ’s “Inside the Ring”, Rusev voiced his admiration for Penta and backed the idea of a world championship reign. He said:
“I have been a fan of Penta since our previous company. I told CJ as soon as I returned that the Lucha Bros were like living action figures; Penta looks like a Mortal Kombat character. He deserves the title 100%. Working with him and facing him is enjoyable, and his charisma makes him a fantastic champion. If he becomes world champion, I will be thrilled for him and for the business.”
“You have no idea how much he does because he doesn’t talk about it. He has helped countless orphans and homeless children in his native Mexico, providing them with truckloads of toys, clothes, and other necessities. He is an extraordinary humanitarian.”
Prior to capturing the briefcase, Penta challenged the World Heavyweight Champion on a Raw episode in Mexico City in September 2026, though he fell short in that contest.
