Defensive tackle Daron Payne will miss the remainder of the 2026 season after suffering a foot injury.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Payne has sustained a Jones fracture, an injury expected to keep him sidelined through the end of the year.
Payne was added to the injury report on Friday after getting hurt during practice.
Washington’s longest-tenured player and the No. 13 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, Payne played in every game from 2020 through 2024 and missed just two contests in 2025.
Over nine seasons, he has recorded 38.0 sacks, 67 tackles for loss, and 86 quarterback hits.
In 2026, Payne has tallied 14 total tackles, two tackles for loss, five quarterback hits, and one sack before the injury.
