Pitbull thanked the sea of fans wearing bald caps at last night’s BST Hyde Park concert, noting that the crowd set a new record for the largest gathering of people in bald caps.

Thousands of attendees flocked to London’s Hyde Park on July 10, sporting bald caps, aviators, and leather jackets in homage to Mr. Worldwide. Before his set, fans assembled by the main stage for an official count, which later confirmed 22,141 bald‑cap wearers—a figure Pitbull called both a blessing and an honor.

After taking the Great Oak Stage to perform hits such as “Don’t Stop the Party,” “International Love,” and “I Feel Good,” Pitbull paused to acknowledge the fans who mirrored his signature look.

“I’m just taking it all in,” an emotional Pitbull told the crowd. “It’s hard for me to say I’m speechless. But all I can think of right now is what my family went through in order for me to be able to be someone free.

“An immigrant family out of Cuba. To be able to pursue my dream and be on the stage like this, represent with all the baldies around the world. This is priceless. There’s no way I can say thank you. There is no words I can say what I feel right now.”

“And it goes to show you if you believe it, you dream it, you can achieve it. We want to say thank you. You know why, Baldies? ‘Cause we motherfucking did it! So not only are we here to congratulate, we’re here to celebrate.”

Later in the show, Pitbull was joined by special guest Kesha, also wearing a bald cap, for their first joint performance of “Timber” in 13 years. This followed a re‑credit of Kesha on the track after controversy over her removal from the 2013 video.

Pitbull paid tribute to his English “baldies” with a rendition of Oasis’s “Wonderwall,” a song that has become a staple at England’s World Cup matches. He explained that a friend suggested he attempt the record, prompting him to turn the idea into action.

The record‑setting concept originated last year when BBC Radio 1 Breakfast host Greg James and TikTok creator Jack Remmington collaborated; Remmington posted a video proposing the bald‑cap attempt at BST, while James helped secure Pitbull’s participation.

Earlier, one of the largest bald‑cap gatherings at a Pitbull concert occurred during his sold‑out shows at London’s O2 arena the previous year. Footage of those crowds went viral, inspiring fans at other tour dates to adopt the same attire.

Those performances formed part of the European leg of Pitbull’s “Party After Dark” Tour, during which he was joined by Lil Jon. At the O2, he took the stage to thank the audience for dressing up for the occasion.

“Now I wanna say a special thank you to everybody who came out with bald caps here tonight,” he said at the time. “It’s amazing to see, and it’s amazing to feel.”

When Pitbull’s appearance at BST Hyde Park was confirmed, he was also added to the lineup for the new Roundhay Festival in Leeds. Both events will be headlined next summer by Lewis Capaldi as part of his UK and Ireland tour.
