The agreement, which initially began in 1980 and was reestablished ahead of the 1998/1999 season, has been instrumental in the club’s unprecedented success, including eight UEFA Men’s Champions League titles during this era.

Spanning the men’s, women’s, academy, Genuine, and basketball teams, the partnership emphasizes innovation in performance wear and lifestyle products. Notable designs include the 2011/2012 gold-trimmed home kit, reflecting the club’s royal legacy during a record-breaking LaLiga season, and the 2001/2002 Centenary kit—celebrated for its minimalist all-white design, immortalized by Zinedine Zidane’s decisive goal in the Champions League final.

Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez emphasized the agreement’s significance, stating, “This partnership represents the most important in football history. Over three decades, it has fueled one of our club’s greatest eras, nurturing the global spirit of madridismo.” Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden added, “This alliance underscores our commitment to excellence.
