Local Bounti Corporation announced it has received a nine-month extension from the New York Stock Exchange to regain compliance with minimum market capitalization requirements. The exchange accepted the company’s October 20 request, pushing the compliance deadline from November 5, 2026, to August 5, 2027—the maximum 18-month period allowed under NYSE rules.
The original non-compliance notice was issued on February 5, 2026, after the company’s average global market capitalization fell below $50 million over a consecutive 30-trading-day period, while its last reported stockholders’ equity also remained under that threshold. To restore compliance, Local Bounti must achieve either an average global market capitalization of at least $50 million over 30 consecutive trading days or total stockholders’ equity of at least $50 million by the August 2027 deadline.
The company’s common stock will continue trading on the NYSE during the extension period, subject to other listing standards and quarterly progress reviews. Management indicated it is evaluating all available options to meet the requirements, though it cautioned there is no assurance of success.
