Recent months have witnessed several notable babyface transitions in WWE, with Becky Lynch and Solo Sikoa among the most recent heels to experience a change in allegiance.
These transitions—as well as other instances throughout the year like Chad Gable—have reinvigorated these performers and provided them with fresh creative trajectories heading into the latter portion of 2026.
Below are three additional potential babyface turns we could witness in WWE shortly.
Johnny Gargano & Candice LeRae
Johnny Gargano has only wrestled four times on WWE TV since falling into his depressive state.
Beginning with two WWE performers who occupy a less overtly heel-oriented position than others on this list: Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae.
While his former DIY teammate has spent 2026 competing in his new home at AEW, Gargano has been sitting dejectedly backstage, lost in a state of depression—much to LeRae’s concern.
However, with Gargano potentially hinting at a return to his celebrated days in WWE, it may finally be time for a renaissance of sorts for ‘Johnny Wrestling.’
Returning to their babyface roles, Gargano and LeRae should finally resume regular in-ring competition and demonstrate to fans what they have been missing throughout this year.
Ivy Nile
The September 1 episode of WWE NXT witnessed The Creed Brothers make their return to the brand where they initially made their mark years earlier.
As seen recently with Grayson Waller and several others in the past, a return to NXT can provide exactly what is needed to revitalize a career—hence why Ivy Nile should be next to make that same transition.
Not only are Nile and The Creed Brothers connected through the American Made faction, but long before that, they also competed together as part of The Diamond Mine.
Nile, like Julius and Brutus, has not established her footing on the main roster, making a return to NXT the optimal next step for her career progression.
Paul Heyman
At WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event, Oba Femi will face Bron Breakker in a first-time-ever matchup.
Caught in the middle of this rivalry is Paul Heyman, who technically remains ‘The Oracle’ for Breakker and The Vision, but has instead devoted considerably more attention to Oba Femi throughout 2026 than to his own faction.
While Heyman and Femi occupied opposing sides for the majority of the year, ‘The Ruler’ retiring Brock Lesnar has fostered a newfound mutual respect between them. This rapport between Femi and Heyman has not escaped Breakker’s notice, and it appears that something must give for Heyman this Sunday.
Rather than continuing to invest in Breakker and The Vision, Heyman could concentrate entirely on the ‘Oba Femi is the future of WWE’ narrative—a move that seems more logical at present. While he doesn’t particularly require the association, forming an allegiance with Heyman would represent a significant statement moment for the Nigerian star.
