Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed the National Assembly, emphasizing the significance of recent diplomatic efforts.
He opened his remarks by summarizing the proceedings of the latest summit in Burgenstock, where delegations from the United States and Iran engaged in extensive talks, with Pakistan and Qatar acting as mediators.
“Pakistan endeavored sincerely to bridge the gap between the two parties,” he noted, adding that the dialogue—which began on Sunday—continued well into the night and beyond into Monday.
The Prime Minister expressed optimism that the memorandum of understanding, signed prior to the Swiss talks, would evolve into a lasting agreement.
