Professional Update: AEW World Title Match Shifts to Dynamite Beach Break

On the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the AEW World Championship contest—featuring MJF and Kenny Omega—was examined in depth.

“Sources indicate that MJF requested the AEW World Title bout with Kenny Omega be shifted from the Redemption pay‑per‑view to the Dynamite Beach Break event. Tony Khan subsequently gave approval. EUA. A win for Omega at Redemption would have slated an irreversible prohibition on any further championship pursuits. This held the event’s title of Redemption, underscoring Omega’s final opportunity after two high‑profile setbacks.”

MJF is believed to have pushed for his AEW World Title match with Kenny Omega to be moved from the Redemption PPV to Dynamite Beach Break. Tony Khan then approved the change.
