ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced the selection of six legal advocates to meet with former prime minister Imran Khan on Tuesday, with the list formally submitted to the Adiala jail administration.

Meanwhile, Imran Khan’s sisters are expected to arrive at the prison complex later in the day, aiming to secure a meeting in line with court directives.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has mandated that jail authorities facilitate meetings between Imran Khan and his legal representatives every Tuesday, as well as with party leaders on Thursdays. However, these orders have reportedly remained unfulfilled for several months.

Advocate Awais Younas Chaudhry, a designated point of contact for both PTI and Imran’s family, submitted the list of lawyers on Monday. The team comprises Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Salman Akram Raja, Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry, Hasnain Sunbal, Shahbaz Ahmad, and Fatah Burki.

The coordinated effort underscores ongoing efforts to uphold judicial rulings and ensure Imran Khan’s continued access to legal counsel and familial support within the constraints of his detention.
