Queen Suthida of Thailand undertook her maiden solo flight in a fighter jet, as confirmed by the Thai Royal Household.
On October 8, the Queen was observed boarding a Gripen fighter aircraft at an airfield in Surat Thani province, southern Thailand, with King Maha Vajiralongkorn watching from the ground.
The Royal Household noted that Queen Suthida is an experienced pilot, with approximately 1,188 flight hours across various aircraft types since she commenced flying in 2010.
She has previously co-piloted aircraft transporting the King on official overseas visits, the Royal Household added.
