It’s been a busy two days for Josh Homme, who featured on Mastodon’s latest single and today launched Queens of the Stone Age’s first new track, “Easy Street,” marking the band’s initial release since 2023’s In Times New Roman…. The song was first performed at the group’s 2025 Paris Catacombs show. The accompanying music video, directed by Tony Wolski and Christopher Gruse, shows Homme evading a chaotic group of neighbors—including a Juggalo, a firefighter, and his own bandmates—before they unite for a whimsical house party. Watch it below.

“It’s a bit of a funny song,” Homme remarked in a press statement. “It hits that sweet spot where humor stings and pain amuses—serious yet playful. We recorded it like a raw demo, without a click track and with imperfections intact. The tempo shifts, the claps are imperfect, but those flaws add a human touch that can’t be faked.”

Queens of the Stone Age are currently touring abroad as part of System of a Down, with plans to return to North America in September for opening slots on the Foo Fighters’ tour.
